06:46 pm - You're gonna poke an eye out! I was running around the house again with a pencil in each hand. I kept hearing in my head that age old saying mom would tell me, 'you're going to poke an eye out with that thing'. I only wish it wasn't my pencil she was talking about all those years. I wonder if anyone really has had their eye poked out by a cock? That would be a sadly funny story.

01:29 am - Tsunami :( Wow. I'm just in awe about the 9.0 earthquake that created the massive tsunamis that has killed over 13,000 people. Fucking insane! Mother nature was having a bad day. No doubt the religous freakazoids will see this as the End Times. Get ready for the rapture. Current Mood: sad

03:14 pm - Hello Livejournal First posting ever! I finally did it. After lurking and slurping other beautiful LJ users' words into my consciousness, I am now real. I exist. I am here. I think. Today is Christmas. I am back home in the DC area where I grew up, with the family that raised me. Funny enough, it's the same family I have known all my years. They are rad. One mom, one dad, one sister. And one quiet kitty. All's quiet in the house right now. Even though it's Christmas, it feels like any other day, except that I'm not home in San Francisco. We did the presents thing last night, a family tradition. My mom likes to say that Santa is too busy the cover the whole world in a day. This morning I slept through the waffle & sardine breakfast thing, thankfully. Now, it's just me, the keyboard and occassionally the quiet kitty poking in for a pet. Current Mood: optimistic
